For founders

Launch your logistics business without building the technology from scratch.

You still need customers, courier relationships, and a team that runs the operation. ShipRabbit is the cloud platform underneath that business, so the logistics identity customers see is yours.

What the decision actually is

A logistics business needs a way to take sellers on, price lanes, create shipments, follow status, and handle COD and failed deliveries. That work can sit in software you build and maintain, or in a platform you configure and operate.

Building it yourself means a product team, hosting, and each courier integration kept current when that courier changes its API. Using a platform does not remove sales, support, or the courier agreements. It removes the job of constructing that system before you know the business will hold.

Build your own brand, use a franchise, or use a platform?

These are different models. None of them is described here with fees, territories, or volumes, because those terms belong to the specific agreement, not to this page.

Build the technology

Your company owns the software and the brand. You also own development, infrastructure, courier integrations, and the technical operation that keeps booking and tracking running.

Operate under another brand

A franchise is a way to operate inside another company’s brand and rules. ShipRabbit is not a franchise and does not place your business under another logistics name.

Use ShipRabbit

You run the logistics business under your own identity. ShipRabbit is the cloud platform for the seller, shipment, rate, COD, NDR, and tracking work.

Build your own, or use the platform

The platform does not promise a cheaper build, a faster launch, or a return. It is the set of capabilities already in the product.

What each path asks you to carry
Build your own Use ShipRabbit
Design and maintain the product Start from the platform that already exists
Host and operate the infrastructure Cloud-based platform, used in the browser
Build and keep each courier integration Courier aggregation for the accounts connected to your ShipRabbit account
Build shipment creation, labels, and tracking Shipment management, labels, and tracking are in the product
Build seller accounts and a seller desk Seller management and a seller portal are in the product
Build rate cards, COD, and NDR yourself Rate cards, COD remittance, seller wallets, and an NDR queue are in the product
Keep the technical systems running You operate the logistics business. ShipRabbit stays the technology layer

How the business can operate

This is the work the platform is built to hold. It is not a launch calendar, and it does not mean every courier is connected.

  1. 1

Set up the logistics business and the identity customers will see.

  2. 2

Configure the ShipRabbit account for that business.

  3. 3

Connect the courier services that account supports.

  4. 4

Publish rate cards, including seller-level overrides where you use them.

  5. 5

    Onboard sellers into the portal.

  6. 6

Create and manage shipments, including labels.

  7. 7

Manage COD remittance and seller wallet balances.

  8. 8

Work NDR cases from one queue, including re-attempt and RTO actions.

  9. 9

Track shipments in the app, and let sellers embed tracking on their own site.

  10. 10

Use the API and webhooks where another system needs to talk to the platform.

What customers can use on a website

An active membership includes website widgets. Tracking is the one almost every seller embeds on their own site. Serviceability is there when a seller wants that check. The rate calculator stays on the aggregator site, so sellers quote from your rate card there.

Each widget needs that account’s site key. The page on this website is a preview of the widget. It does not calculate a live rate or track a live shipment.

What ShipRabbit does

Provides the cloud platform: seller and shipment desks, courier aggregation for connected accounts, rate cards, COD and wallets, NDR, tracking, APIs and webhooks, and the website widgets.

What your business does

Operates the logistics company. That includes the brand, the sellers, the courier relationships, pricing you publish, support, and the deliveries your network performs. ShipRabbit does not employ the delivery staff and does not guarantee a delivery.

A good fit

  • You want your own logistics identity.
  • You want several courier relationships managed from one platform.
  • You need seller and shipment operations, including COD and NDR.
  • You want that technology without building the whole platform first.

Not this page

  • A consumer tracking one shipment. That lookup is on the track page.
  • An online store looking for a shipping tool for its own orders.
  • Someone who only wants to book a courier.
  • A directory of courier franchises.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is ShipRabbit a courier company?

No. ShipRabbit is the technology platform. You operate the logistics business, including the courier relationships and the deliveries your network performs.

Is this a courier franchise?

No. A franchise is a different business model, usually under another company’s brand. ShipRabbit is software a logistics business uses under its own identity.

Which couriers are included?

The desk manages the courier accounts connected to that ShipRabbit account. Delhivery B2B, Delhivery B2C, and Ekart B2C are implemented. Other couriers are not included merely because they are well known.

Can sellers put tracking on their own website?

Almost every seller embeds the tracking widget. Serviceability is there when a seller wants it. The rate calculator stays on the aggregator site. The widgets need that account’s site key and an active membership. The tools page on this website is a preview.
